Why is it still an issue in the 21st century
Been thinking about this article since the announcement about the Supreme Court leak. Been disturbed about it since the first time I realized what it was.
It’s not the same old argument
It’s been the same old argument forever on the subject of abortion. To simply sum up the 2 sides’ positions. “Abortion is murder” “Abortion is a woman’s choice.”
No, the issue is by any means simple.
Before you jump to any conclusions about this article, I hope you’ll read it at least to hear out my position. You might just think about it. I would love to know anyone’s feeling on the subject.
The point of stating the long-held positions is to show the 2 sides are not looking at the broader problem not being addressed. This dismisses the greater challenge we’re avoiding.
What is it, and why is it a much greater challenge that’s long overdue for discussion.
It hurts us all to have to admit it
Why does it hurt so much to face up to?
Avoiding offense means that we don’t accept each other as equals.
