Why does this matter?
There have to be a million saying on this topic.
If you know the story about the “Sour Grapes” it explains it oppositely. This is how you can justify what you were not able to obtain. So the question remains why do not only people but all living things seem to behave this way?
When you observe nature, you will be impressed with how things go after the things outside of their reach. As in the saying “The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence”.
I observed cows and horses always wanting the grass they can’t reach.
If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.
Why does this affect our overall well-being?
I’m always looking for the contributing causes of many of our social problems.
You see in many ways how this simple thing can create so many social challenges.
Living creatures have this drive, a constant search for some elusive feeling of satisfaction, and contentment. Doing some research on this article, I was surprised by how popular it is.
